Healofy, a parenting-focused social networking space, has bagged an undisclosed amount of capital from Japan’s M&S Partners, cited ET.

Before this, the platform Healofy, in May 2019, had secured around $9.5 million from clutch of existing as well as new investors.

Healofy was founded by Gaurav Aggarwal and Shubham Maheshwari in 2016. It is a peer-to-peer interaction platform that specifically caters to moms and moms-to-be across tier 2, 3 and 4 cities by providing content in 9 languages English, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.

The space Healofy operates on a community model with authentic doctors, experts as well as expectant and fresh parents interacting with each other and discussing on various topics.

It claims to have created a strong community with 5 Lakh daily active users.

Users can connect with each other based on their language, location, stages of pregnancy and and other interest areas such as fashion, food, fitness, working from home and lifestyle.

Furthermore, according to a World Bank Report of 2018, women constitute of only 27 per cent of the workforce, and women in startups form an even smaller demographic.

Apart from Healofy, other startups under the similar rood include Babychakra, Parentlane, Tinystep, BabyBerry, Firstcry, among others.
