TRS Boss and Telangana Caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao is currently facing criticism for misbehaving with a man during an election rally at Kagaznagar rally in a run-up the Telangana Assembly Elections.

K Chandrashekhar Rao, famous as KCR among his supporters on Thursday had lost his cool on a youth who has asked the caretaker chief minister about the 12% reservation to the Muslims, a pre-poll promise of the TRS.

Infuriated by the man, KCR asked him to sit down, accusing him of doing a gimmick.  Trying to get the man to sit down, KCR said “Baat karte, baitho khamosh baitho. Wohi barah per cent hi bole khamosh baitho baithjao. Tumhare baap ko bolun kya baatein? (We will talk, sit quietly. It is 12 percent as we said earlier, sit down. Do I need to tell your father these things?)” as quoted by news agency ANI.

The Telangana legislature has passed a bill increasing reservation in jobs and education for backward sections of the Muslim community to 12 percent from the earlier four percent. The bill is yet to get the Centre’s nod.

The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) condemned Rao’s behaviour and called him a “dictator”. The party tweeted, “Drunk with power, KCR acts like a dictator. Mr KCR, you are answerable to the people of Telangana. Arrogance and dictatorship have no space in a democracy!”

The Polling in the 119 assembly state is scheduled for December 7. Telangana is among the few states going for polls ahead of the Lok Sabha 2019 battle. The results of all five state elections will be announced on December 11.
