Ram-Mandir-AyodhyaRSS slams BJP over Statue of Unity; questions government's inability to pass law for construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya

Ayodhya is geared up for super Sunday, with all eyes on Shiv Sena and Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), which are scheduled to hold massive show of strength.

On Sunday, while VHP will hold a Dharm Sansad, claimed to be the largest gathering of saints and seers in Ayodhya since 1992, Shiv Sena chief will do a darshan of Ram Lalla after conducting a Saryu aarti and puja of saints on Saturday.

Political observers claim that both Shiv Sena and VHP are doing this as they are competing for credit in mobilising support for the Ram Mandir, in light of the coming Lok Sabha. Both want to corner each other on the Ram Mandir issue.

Shiv Sena has been preparing for the Ayodhya event since September. Apart from their cadre base in UP, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh, the party has booked train tickets for thousands of its workers in Maharashtra who are reaching Ayodhya on Sunday. All the legislators, MPs, State and Union Ministers of Shiv Sena, will be attending the programme on the banks of river Sarayu where Uddhav Thackeray would be delivering a speech on Shiv Sena’s contribution in the Ram Mandir movement.

Thackray’s programme will include an “ashirwad samaroh” and and then Sena will be joining the “Saryu aarti” on the banks of Saryu and will pay a visit to Ram Lalla site, following which Thackeray will address the media.
