Days after assuming Office as Andhra CM, Jagan Mohan Reddy on Saturday directed the officials to prepare a brief report about the financial condition of the state. The report will be placed before the 15th Finance Commission stressing the need for the special status to Andhra Pradesh.

Addressing a review meeting of the Revenue and Finance Department on Saturday, Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy said that all the officers should be prepared a report of the financial condition of the state and the need for the special status to the state for overcome the financial crisis.

He also asked the officials to come up with innovative ideas to deal with the financial crisis. The review meeting was attended by many officials including – Chief Secretary LV Subrahmanyam, special Chief Secretaries D Sambasiva Rao, PV Ramesh, SS Rawat, Secretary finance M Ravichand, CMO secretary Arokya Raj and additional Secretary K Dhananjaya Reddy.

It should be noted that after meeting with PM Narendra Modi on May 26, Reddy had said that he will be stressing on the issue of Special Status.

Talking to media after meeting with PM Modi, Reddy said, ‘Today was the first meeting with PM. God willing I’ll probably meet him maybe 30, 40, 50 times over these 5 years. I’ll make it a point to remind him every time, of Special Category Status. As long as we keep reminding, things will change’.

Jagan Mohan Reddy who had announced to have a corruption free government in the state will also conduct a review meeting with education and water resources departments. He will join the secretariat on June 8.

Minutes after taking oath as Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, YSRCP Chief Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday announced ₹3000 as pension to senior citizens in the state. Speaking from the state where he took the oath, Reddy said made a major announcement for senior citizens of the state and promised corruption-free government.

Reddy while addressing the workers and supporters from dais said, every senior citizen of the state will get a ₹3000 pension. It will start from ₹2,250 and will be increased to 3000 Rs by next 3 years.

Jagan Mohan Reddy’s YSRCP in recently held polls registered a landslide victory in both assembly and national polls in the state. YRSCP won 151 assembly seats out of the 175 assembly seat in the state and unseat Chandrababu Naidu-led TDP Government.

While in national polls, YSRCP bag 22 Lok Sabha Seats out of 25 seats in the state.
