Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy has requested ambassadors of over 30 countries for attending a Diplomatic Outreach Programme in Vijaywada. The event is scheduled to take place on August 9 at Taj Gateway, Vijaywada. Jagan Mohan Reddy invited these diplomats to look at the opportunities for partnership and encourage the industrial growth in the state.

The event will be held in two phases as stated by the state government. In the first phase, the Chief Minister will address the meeting and then take up a one-on-one meeting with these ambassadors in the second phase. Ambassadors from Korea, Thailand, Egypt, Australia, and other countries are expected to attend the event. The event will also be attended by Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy and IT, Industries and Commerce Minister Mekapati Gowtham Reddy.

“Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy is committed to make the state a preferred investment destination and trade partner” read a statement from Chief Minister’s office.

For extending the window of collaborations with partnering nations, The State government will display the investment opportunities along with the trade potential in the state.

The summit comes at an interesting time when WB (World Bank) and AIIB (Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank) have withdrawn their financial support of combined $500 million in the capital city. Therefore, the government can be seen pushing for investing capital in Amravati.

Jagan Mohan Reddy may also launch the first “Made in India” car of Kia Motors on 8 August in Ananthapuram district, said an official from Chief Minister’s office.
