Hours after AAP Lawmaker Alka Lamba hinted her willingness to join Congress, DPCC Delhi State In-Charge PC Chacko on Friday said that his party will welcome AAP lawmaker from Chandi Chowk if she wants to come in the party fold.
PC Chacko said she was the president of party student wing NSUI, we will always welcome her. ‘There are many people, who left the party on different occasions. When they come back, we always welcome them,” Mr Chacko told news agency ANI.

While he further said that he wants to go with an alliance with Aam Aadmi Party. He claimed that the only way to defeat BJP in Delhi is to go together in the upcoming General Elections.
PC Chacko remarks about Alka Lamba came hours after the AAP lawmaker indicated her willingness to join back Congress. She said that it will be an honour for her to join Congress. She reportedly said that she had given 20 years to Congress. However, she claimed that she has not received any proposal to join Congress. Lamba started her political career as a student by joining Congress student wing NSUI.
She joined Anna Movement in 2011 and later Aam Aadmi Party.

AAP Lawmaker from Chandni Chowk was reportedly sidelined by the Arvind Kejriwal led party after she claimed in December last year that she has been asked to resign following the controversy in Delhi Assembly over revoking the Bharat Ratna from Prime Minister’s Rajiv Gandhi.
