Aam Aadmi Party on Friday launched a fresh salvo at BJP East Delhi Candidate Gautam Gambhir and accused him of having two voter ID Cards. Aam Aadmi Party Candidate from Delhi East Lok Sabha Seat Atishi on Friday took to Twitter and accused Gambhir of having two voter ID Cards.

“My appeal to the citizens of East Delhi Lok Sabha – pls don’t waste your vote by voting for @GautamGambhir; he is going to get sooner or later for having two Voter ID cards! Don’t waste your vote! #GambhirApradh,” said AAP Candidate Atishi in a tweet.

She also attached the picture of two electoral rolls where one suggests that Gambhir is a registered voter from Karol Bagh Assembly seat while other suggests he is a voter from Rajinder Nagar Assembly constituency of the national capital.

Atishi Marlena, AAP leader & East Delhi Lok Sabha candidate, has filed a criminal complaint in the trial court against cricketer & BJP candidate Gautam Gambhir on the issue. Delhi’s Tis Hazari Court to hear the matter on May 1.

Arvind Kejriwal also reacting on the issue said voters should not waste their vote. Kejriwal while quoting a tweet said, ‘Voters shud not waste their vote on someone who will get disqualified soon’.

Gautam Gambhir had on March 22 joined Bharatiya Janata Party in presence of Union Minister Arun Jaitley. He has been named by the party from Delhi East Lok Sabha Seat. He is pitched against AAP’s Atishi and Congress nominee Arvinder Singh Lovely.

Earlier during the nominations, AAP has alleged that the stamp paper on which the affidavit has been furnished is dated April 23 whereas the notarial stamp on two affidavits submitted by the Cricketer-turned-Politician Gautam Gambhir has a date of April 18 and April 19.

However, the Poll Officials rejected the allegations after Gambhir filed a response explaining that the ’18/04′ and ’19/04′ were not the dates rather the serial number of the notary. The date is April 23 and there is no discrepancy.

Lok Sabha Polls 2019 has already begun and would spread on Seven Phases starting from April 11 to May 19. Counting of Votes and Results for the mega Battle of ballots will be announced on May 23.

BJP in Delhi will be taking on Aam Aadmi Party and Congress. All 7 seats of Delhi will vote on May 12.
