NDA Maharashtra ally Shiv Sena on Tuesday launched a fresh salvo at Narendra Modi led Central Government on the backdrop of West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee standoff with Centre over CBI-Cops War. Sena alleged that it is all ‘orchestrated’ to gain Political mileage ahead of Lok Sabha Polls 2019. The Sena, in an editorial in party mouthpiece ‘Saamana’, said what was happening in Kolkata was a “threat to democracy”.

Sena further alleged BJP of destroying Constitutional Institutions. The political war happening in West Bengal is a sign of new anarchy… Courts, Reserve Bank of IndiaNiti Aayog and CBI have all lost their prestige in the past few years. The plight of these institutions has become similar to that of a caged parrot. How can you trust them? CBI has been half dead since last few years,” reads the latest piece in Hindi in Shiv Sena’s mouthpiece ‘Saamana’.

Why did the clash between Kolkata CBI and the West Bengal government start immediately after the central investigation agency appointed its new director? The 2019 Lok Sabha election play a big role in this. The BJP is not expected to get the same victory like 2014. Around 100 seats will get less from North till Maharashtra. To fulfill the gap of these 100 seats, BJP is looking forward to states like West Bengal. They are aiming to get 10-15 seats from West Bengal. This is why the politics of Rath Yatra took place in the state,” the Shiv Sena said as reported by ANI.

Sena asserted that the BJP has laid its hopes on states like West Bengal to win 10 to 15 seats… all this and all the CBI vs West Bengal Police Standoff is being orchestrated with an eye on the Lok Sabha polls,” said the Sena, which is an ally of the BJP at the Centre and in Maharashtra.

The CBI on the whole issue moved to Supreme Court in which the Top Court directed Kolkata Police Commissioner to appear before CBI in Shillong; however, Court has prevented the arrest of Kolkata Police top brass.

A standoff between Central Investigation Agency, CBI and West Bengal Police erupted on Sunday evening over questioning of West Bengal Police Commissioner Rajeev Kumar on Shardha Chit fund scam. The Whole Issue on Monday reached Parliament, Supreme Court, and Kolkata High Court as Mamata Banerjee sit in protest against the Central Government atrocities. Supreme Court directs Kolkata Police Commissioner to appear before CBI in Shillong; prevents arresting
