Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a discussion meeting with Top Economists on Saturday. In the meeting that slated to be held at the NITI Aayog in the national capital, PM Modi will discuss the Union Budget proposal with the Top Economists.

He will also discuss the macroeconomic situation of the country. Economists will also brief the Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the presentations. He will chart out the strategies ahead of the presentation of Union Budget. He will discuss the condition of the economy, agriculture, exports, and the health system.

Reportedly among the agendas that are likely to be discussed in the meeting include the steps taken to accelerate the economy, need and steps to increase exports. While PM Modi is also expected to discuss the challenges in increasing the growth rate of the agriculture sector.

Nirmala Sitharaman who is inducted as Union Finance Minister in Modi Cabinet 2.0 will present the First Budget of this Government of July 5. Sitharaman is expected to announce big tax relief for the middle class and salaried people.

Sitharaman had held a series of pre-budget meetings with several stakeholders in a bid to seek feedbacks, and inputs ahead of the Budget Session of the 17th Lok Sabha.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on June 13 held her 3rd Pre- Budget consultations with the stakeholder Groups from Financial Sector and Capital Markets in New Delhi in connection with the forthcoming General Budget 2019-20.
