Ministry of Home Affairs on Saturday issued an advisory to all states & Union Territories to take necessary measures to ensure the safety & security of people belonging to Jammu and Kashmir. Ministry of Home Affairs Advisory came following reports of students and other residents of Jammu & Kashmir are experiencing threats & intimidation in light of Pulwama Terror Attack that claimed 40 lives of CRPF Personnel.

The Advisory came hours after Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh chaired an all-party meeting on Saturday. Reportedly, In the meeting, Home Minister ensured all of doing the needful for the protection of the Kashmiri students and people who were allegedly threatened after the terrorist attack in Pulwama in which 40 CRPF jawans were killed on Thursday.

As per reports, Some Kashmiri Youths in Dehradun have alleged that they were harassed and have been asked by their landlords to vacate accommodations fearing attacks on their properties in the aftermath of the Terror Attack.
Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Saturday cautioned mischievous elements must not be allowed to use the Pulwama terror attack as “an excuse to persecute or harass people” from the state, saying the pain of the killings of CRPF personnel must not fuel “such diabolical plans.
She said in a tweet, ‘Understand the pain & anguish. But we mustn’t allow such mischievous elements to use this as an excuse to persecute/harass people from J&K. Why should they suffer for somebody else’s action? We need to be united instead of letting people exploit our fears’. she said quoting a tweet.

PDP President Mufti also setup Helpline numbers for students/people facing problems outside Jammu and Kashmir. ‘In this time of grief & outrage, attempts will be made to divide us. Religions & identities will be pitted against each other. Hindu vs Mus. Jam vs Kash. Our pain must not fuel such diabolical plans. Because eventually, the axe forgets but the tree remembers’ Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister said in another tweet.

India also revoked the Most Favoured Nation Status (MNF) given to Pakistan day after Pulwama Terror Attack that claimed the lives of 40 CRPF Personnel.
The convoy comprised 78 Buses in which around 2500 CRPF Personnel were traveling from Jammu and Kashmir. A bus, in which 42 CRPF Personnel was traveling was being targetted and got extensively damaged in the blast that was followed by firing on the vehicle.
Pakistan based terror outfit Jaish e Mohammad (JeM) claimed the responsibility of the Pulwama Terror Attack and reportedly stated that it was a suicide bomber.
The Deadliest attack on CRPF Personnel has evoked strong condemnation not only in India but across Globe with US, Russia, and France asserting that they stand with India in combating the menace of terrorism.
