A day after Anti-Corruption Crusader Anna Hazare threatened to return the Padma Bhushan, Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis, Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh and MOS Defence Subhash Bhamre meet Anna Hazare at Ralegan Siddhi saying the government has agreed to accept almost all of his demands. Maharastra CM Devendra Fadnavis told Media, ‘We request Anna to call off fast. We have agreed to almost all of his demands, especially the one related to Lokayukta and formation of a joint committee. We have said yes to it’.

We have also given a letter to Anna Hazare about the issues pertaining to the Central government. The Centre has taken steps on all the issues Anna has been demanding. He should withdraw his fast unto death without any hesitation. I have sent a letter making the similar request to him,” the CM added.

Ahead of Lok Sabha Polls 2019, The Maharashtra Cabinet last week decided to bring the office of Maharashtra Chief Minister under the jurisdiction of Lokayukta.

Anna Hazare has been in Indefinite Hunger Strike since Wednesday last week demanding the formation of Lokpal at the Centre and Lokayuktas in the states. He is also demanding the Implementation of Swaminathan Committee Recommendations.

His Doctor Dr. Dhananjay Pote told PTI on Friday, “There has been a significant increase in blood pressure and blood sugar when I examined Hazare in the morning on Friday.” As per latest, Anna Hazare lost 3.5 Kgs since then.

Earlier in the day, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena Chief Raj Thackeray asked Anna Hazare not to sacrifice his life for the ‘useless’ government.

Earlier on Monday, BJP’s Maharashtra ally Shiv Sena came in support of Social Activist. Sena argued to emulate Social Leader Jayprakash Narayan and lead an agitation against corruption. Shiv Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray appealed to the BJP-led state government — of which is a part- to intervene and not to ‘play’ Hazare’s life.
