In the recent Mohammad Ali Jauhar University controversy, Bhartiya Janta Party Jaya Prada jumped in to attack Samajwadi Party MP Azam Khan. The allegations come in the background of raids conducted at the aforesaid University in Rampur.

Mohammad Ali Jauhar University has come under the crack after stolen books from various institutions in Rampur were found in its Mumtaz Central Library of the University. In a joint raid of Police and District administration. Over 2500 rare and valuable books were found to be recovered from the given location, as stated by Rampur SP Ajaypal Sharma. “The raids which started on Tuesday are still going on. Rare books have been recovered there,” told Director General of Police OP Singh to PTI.

Jaya Prada’s comments come after Azam Khan’s son Abdullah Azam was detained for violating section 144, thus obstructing the government raid.

MP Jaya Prada also lashed out on Samajwadi President Akhilesh Yadav for calling his party functionaries to Rampur for expressing their support to Azam Khan, who is the Founder and the Chancellor of Mohammad Ali Jauhar University.

As quoted by ANI, Jaya Prada remarked at Azam Khan, “This man is in everything, be it land acquisition or books. He is a land-mafia and education-mafia as well.”

Interestingly, The feud between Jaya Prada and Azam Khan has been going on for over 10 years, always taking the tinge of new controversies. Lately, Jaya Prada has also challenged Azam Khan’s election from Rampur seat on the issue of ‘Office of Profit’. The Allahabad High court has registered the petition in court and will be referring it to Chief Justice.
