The Deadliest attack on CRPF Personnel that claimed lives of at least 40 CRPF Personnel has evoked strong condemnation not only in India but across Globe with US, Russia and France asserting that they stand with India in combating the menace of terrorism.

While Condemning the Terror Attack, US State Department said in a statement that it was “resolutely committed” to working with the Indian government to combat terrorism in all its forms.

The US condemns in the strongest terms the terrorist attack today on an Indian Central Reserve Police Force convoy in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir,” State Department Deputy Spokesperson Robert Palladino said and extend his deepest condolences to the paramilitary personnel and their families.

Apart from the US, other nations also rallied behind India and extended their condolences and Support. The Russian Embassy stressed the need to combat such inhuman acts with a decisive and collective response, without any double standards.

Ambassadors of France, Germany, Australia, Turkey, Canada and the Czech Republic also condemned the attack.

Nikolay R. Kudashev, Russian Ambassador to India said, ‘ It’s with great sorrow that we learnt about the attack. All the perpetrators should be punished. We express our heartfelt condolences to the grieving families of the deceased’.

While asserting that Germany stands with India, Dr Jasper Wieck, Charge d’Affaires of the German Embassy in India said, ‘Germany condemns terrorism in all forms. We are gravely shocked and deeply saddened’ He added, ‘Our thoughts are with the families of the victims. Germany stands with its strategic partner India’.

Russian President Vladimir Putin also extend his support to India. He said, ‘Please accept the most sincere condolences. We strongly condemn this brutal crime. The perpetrators & sponsors of this attack, undoubtedly, should be duly punished’.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has strongly condemned the attack, calling for the perpetrators to be brought to justice. At the press briefing, Mr Guterres’ spokesperson Stephane Dujarric wished a speedy recovery to those injured in the attack.

Expressing solidarity, neighbouring countries Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and the Maldives vowed to combat terrorism jointly.

‘The Government of Nepal strongly condemns the Terrorist Attack in Jammu and Kashmir that has resulted in the loss of many precious lives’ The Release from Nepal Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Thursday late evening.

Nepal Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli called up Prime Minister Narendra Modi and conveyed his heartfelt condolences.

Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, in a message through the country’s High Commission, extended her support. She said her country maintains a zero-tolerance policy against any kind of terrorist activities.

Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena said the world must condemn such brutal attacks and take effective action to prevent such incidents in future.

Maldivian President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih said, his country will continue to work with India and the international community to combat the menace in the region and the world at large.

Maldivian Foreign Affairs Minister Abdulla Shahid sent a message to External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj conveying his sympathy to the government and people of India.

UAE called on the international community to unify efforts in confronting extremism and terrorism that pose a threat to global security and stability.

On Thursday, Around 40 CRPF personnel were killed in the deadliest terror attack on security forces in a decade when their convoy was targetted in Pulwama District on Srinagar-Jammu National Highway. The convoy comprised 78 Buses in which around 2500 CRPF Personnel were traveling from Jammu and Kashmir.

A bus, in which 42 CRPF Personnel was traveling was being targetted and got extensively damaged in the blast that was followed by firing on the vehicle.

Pakistan based terror outfit Jaish e Mohammad (JeM) claimed the responsibility of the Pulwama Terror Attack and reportedly stated that it was a suicide bomber.
