Coming down heavily on the corrupt officers, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh Government on Wednesday issued a strict warning to over 400 corrupt officers of several departments while 200 such officials have been directed to take voluntary retirements.

As per the government’s officials, the government, following its strict ‘no corruption tolerance’ policy, has decided to give early retirements to over 200 officials as they were found guilty in many corruption cases. While over 400 officers and employees have been warned of severe punishment.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had earlier said that he will not tolerate a bit of corruption and corrupt officers will be shown doors without even a second thought by giving them retirement.

Adityanath had on June 20 reviewed the work of Secretariat Administrative Department at Lok Bhawan. Speaking in the meeting, Yogi Adityanath had said that there is no space for corruption and corrupt officers in the government.

He had also asked officers to prepare a list of such officers who are facing corruption charges. He said that strict action will be taken against all such officers.

Speaking to reporters, UP Government Spokesperson and Minister Shrikant Sharma said, that this is the first of its kind action where the government has initiated action against 600 corrupt officials.

Earlier, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also directed all the officials to reach their offices by 9.00 am. He has warned the officials and said that strict action will be taken against those who will not follow the directions.
