Blaming the Centre for refusing to give the land to shift the 99-year-old school, AAP government assured the Delhi High court that the student studying in the school will be relocated to other schools from the next academic sessions.

Delhi government further added to the court that as per the order of the high court to look out a solution for the future of the school, the union minister at a meeting held on November 28, had asked the Directorate of education to shift the school from there to another site.

The directorate of education has said in a testimony placed before the bench that, there is no other option than to place the student to other school from the next academic session.

The ministry said that the Rajputana Rifles Heroes Memorial Senior Secondary School is located on the Defence land which was not in accordance with the cantonment Land Administration Rules.

On the other hand, the court has directed a meeting of Directorate of Education and Minister of Defence while hearing a PIL by NGO Social jurist, which stated that the school taken over by the Delhi Goverment in 1975, was in a horrible condition.

According to the plea, the school mainly caters the kids of the military officials, who cannot afford to educate their kids in a private school.

It has also been stated that the school lack basic conveniences, including clean toilets, pure drinking waters, labs and many teaching staff posts are lying vacant.
