GTFO Tencent Stakehttps://steamah.com/gtfo-alpha-how-to-fix-your-fps-issues/

Tencent is China’s largest tech conglomerate. They are known for holding major to complete shares in game studios. They’re known for having invested heavily in Riot Games and Activision Blizzard and several other major companies. Activision went under fire last year when they sacked an eSports player for a year. He had voiced his support for Hong-Kong’s pro-democracy demonstrators on-stream. Later due to the backlash, they did cut down on the punishment. 10 Chambers Collective is a Swedish studio founded by former Overkill Software employees. They came together to make GTFO, a survival horror FPS coop game. It relies heavily on teamwork and decision-making at every step of the game. Now, Tencent is magnificently investing on them. While the numbers are cloudy, 10 Chambers creative director has said that Tencent will help them reach “new heights.”

GTFO still is currently missing any online matchmaking system. Tencent’s investment will help achieve that. Since this game is reliant on VOIP, it’ll also need to integrate that into the game. The scale of the game is indie at the moment. It needs to have a bigger player-base, if it wants to really be one of the more SWAT-like ventures into gaming. Tencent has a huge potential to turn AA games into AAA budget products. Tencent had also bought Supercell for a hefty $8.6 billion. It is the highest gaming acquisition ever. Hopefully, Tencent’s funding and 10 Chambers vision will collectively come to life as a fleshed out horror survival game for a “fun” time with your friends.
