Rocket league blueprints

Loot Boxes have been a hot topic of discussion in the recent past. Recently, MicrosoftNintendo, and Sony announced that they are actively encouraging all the leading publishers into disclosing the odds of receiving different types of in-game items from loot boxes in all future titles. Following the announcement, many ESA publishers like Activision, Electronic Arts, Blizzard, Bandai Namco Entertainment, Bethesda, Ubisoft, Take-Two Interactive and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. committed to being a part of the policy. It was then that developer Psyonix announced that its popular game Rocket League is removing its paid, randomized loot boxes, following its parent company Epic Games’ footsteps who made a similar change to Fortnite earlier this year. And now, ‘Rocket League’ will finally replace randomized loot crates with ‘blueprints’.

Until now, blind loot boxes never allowed players to see exactly which item they are buying. With the new loot box policies, you’ll be able to see upfront what items you’re buying since there’s no guessing involved now. Rocket Leagues’ new blueprints will be available after every match which will show players what they will get. You can either purchase the item then and there or purchase it from the inventory later. Moreover, Psyonix also has plans for a new item shop that will feature older Legacy Crate items including those that appeared in crates along with new ones.

Bluprints will offer crates, painted, certified and special edition items. older items that appeared in crates along with new ones. Furthermore, Psyonix also announced a few alterations to the Trade-In system once Blueprints arrive. The company quotes,  “it’ll disable the ability to use paid content in the Trade-In system“. Thereafter, players can’t trade anything from Blueprints, the Item Shop, or Crates. However, free post-game drops will still be able to be traded.

Blueprints will replace Rocket League loot boxes

This update isn’t live for now as the company has given a December deadline to get things sorted out. Once the update goes live, Rocket League keys will be converted into Credits and Crates will turn into Blueprints. Interestingly, one last Crate in Rocket League: the Vindicator Crate still remains which will supposedly feature the new Sentinel Battle-Car and Neuro-Agitator Goal Explosion.
