The much-awaited PUBG Mobile v 0.14.0 is coming on August 14th as Tencent releases Beta Patch notes. One of the most exciting updates coming with this update is the new Zombie Mode which is a PUBG Mobile and The Walking Dead crossover. PUBG Mobile has already had 2 crossovers with Resident Evil 2 wherein ‘Darkest Night’ and ‘Survive Till Dawn 2’ were added to the Arcade mode of the game. However, the much anticipated Erangel 2.0 which every fan has been waiting for isn’t included in the Patch notes released. Erangel 2.0 was believed to arrive with this update but sadly we might just have to wait a little longer to experience Erangel 2.0. Let’s have an overview of features Patch notes have to offer:
PUBG Mobile Beta 0.14.0: Patch notes:
Mode Selection UI improved:
- Tier information included in Classic Mode.
- Matchmaking and Settings feature on the same page.
- Visual effects improved.
Daily Mission Redesigned:
- Daily Missions reduced significantly and rewards have been adjusted accordingly.
- Daily Missions are released randomly except the login missions which appear daily. If players aren’t satisfied with their ongoing Daily Missions, they have an option to switch to other random missions in the mission pool up to three times a day.
New Feature: Infection Mode:
Yet another new zombie mode arrive with this new update. As the match starts, players are divided into two teams: Zombies and Defenders. Zombies are equipped with only Melee whereas Defenders have firearms. As the name suggests, Defenders have to defend themselves against Zombie attack as they turn into Zombies once infected. Even if 1 defender survives, Defenders win. It is important to note that Zombies can be revived but not Defenders.
Improvements and Bug Fixes:
Inventory interaction UI has been improved.
- Non-inventory UI functions blocked in Inventory.
- Item display area expanded.
- Emotes editing simplified.
- Improved the selection logic for firearms and vehicles.
- Players can now choose to show helmets and backpacks in the main menu.
- New zoom feature to zoom in on the character when viewing firearms, hats, glasses, face accessories and backpacks added.
It is now available for download on both Android and iOS.
