Samsung Galaxy S10 series

Samsung is set to introduce 25w fast charging support to its Galax S10-series through OTA update. Quan Guixian, Samsung Greater China President, reportedly confirmed that Samsung Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+, and Galaxy S10e would be getting 25w fast charging support through a new over-the-air software update. Notably, the feature is already available on Galaxy S10 5G variant and the recently launched Galaxy A70. Lenovo-owned Motorola is also bringing a list of its smartphones with 25w fast charging support.

ITHome revealed that Guixian while addressing a meeting with fans at one of Samsung stores in China said that the Galaxy S10-series would get 25w fast charging support. The OTA update with the feature is expected to roll out next month.

Currently, the fast charging support on Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+, and Galaxy S10e is limited to 15w, that is possible through the bundled power adapter. The 5G variant of the Galaxy S10 will ship on April 5 with support for 25w fast charging support out-of-the-box. Earlier this week, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy A70 with the same, 25w fast charging support.

However, with the said software update bringing fast charging support to the Galaxy S10-series, users will have to purchase a compatible charger separately to avail the new addition.

Moreover, the new software update is also said to bring a long-exposure camera mode along with the ability to use NFC access cards.

While multiple users on Weibo have also mentioned the words of Guixian, Samsung has not officially unveiled the OTA update with the reported features.

Meanwhile, a report from South Korean publications ETNews suggested that Samsung might launch its Galaxy Note 10 without any physical buttons.

According to the report, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 may not feature any physical buttons whatsoever. Without buttons, it may seem that it would be difficult to navigate the device. Nevertheless, the report adds that Samsung would replace the physical buttons with touch sensors or gestures. That means the volume rocker, power buttons, and Bixby button would be replaced by haptic gestures and touch sensors. It is also possible that the company might integrate HTC like side squeeze feature.
