Redmi Note 7 Pro

Smartphone manufacturers recently have been launching devices with huge pixel count in their cameras. Xiaomi launched Redmi Note 7 Pro with a 48-megapixel rear-mounted camera with Sony IMX586 sensor along with Redmi Note 7, a few days ago. The 48-megapixel camera on the Redmi Note 7 Pro combines four pixels into one to create a 12-megapixel image. In the pro mode, however, the device can shoot 48-megapixel resolution images.

The Redmi Note 7 Pro is not the only phone, however, to come with such high pixel count camera.

Besides Redmi Note 7 Pro, India has witnessed smartphones like Oppo F11 Pro, Honor View 20 and Vivo V15 Pro that come with a 48-megapixel shooter at the back. Let’s dive in the specifications of all these smartphones and figure out which one is the best value for your money.

Redmi Note 7 Pro

The Redmi Note 7 Pro comes in two variants in terms of RAM and storage: 4GB RAM with 64GB of onboard storage and 6GB of RAM with 128GB of onboard storage. Xiaomi has priced the 4GB RAM at ₹13,999 while the 6GB RAM variant of the device is priced at ₹16,999. The device will be available in Neptune Blue, Nebula Red, and Space Black color options and will be available for purchase starting from March 13.

In terms of specifications, the Redmi Note 7 Pro features the same “Aura Design” as the Redmi Note 7 as well as the same 6.3-inch Full-HD+ screen with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and waterdrop-style notch. Both the front and the back of the device sports a 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass protection for added durability. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC coupled with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The storage on the device is expandable up to 256GB using a microSD card.

The Redmi Note 7 Pro houses a dual camera setup at the back compromising of a 48-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.79 lens and a 5-megapixel secondary depth sensor. At the front, the device has a 13-megapixel selfie shooter.

Oppo F11 Pro

Oppo F11 Pro price in India starts at ₹24,990 for the 6GB RAM and 64GB storage variant. The phone will be available for pre-orders from March 6 and will go on sale from March 15. It can be purchased through Amazon, Snapdeal, Flipkart, Paytm, Oppo online store and via offline stores also.

In terms of specifications, the Oppo F11 Pro features a 6.5-inch  HD+ display with a 90.9 percent screen-to-body ratio. It has a gradient back panel design with 3D effects and will be available in Thunder black, Aurora green, and Waterfall grey color options. The device is powered by MediaTek Helio P70 SoC coupled with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. It runs Android 9.0 Pie with the company’s own Color OS 6.0.

On the camera front, the device features dual rear cameras compromising of a 48MP primary camera with f/1.79 aperture and a 5MP secondary camera with f/2.4 aperture. For the front camera, the device has a pop-up selfie camera with a 16-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture. The camera on the device features Ultra Night mode as well as AI ultra-clear engine.

Honor View 20

Honor View 20 is available on Amazon and Honor’s official online stores. The device is priced at ₹37,999 for the 6GB/128GB variant while its 8GB/256GB variant is priced at ₹45,999.

The phone has a reflective glass back design with a V-shaped pattern. It has a 6.4-inch edge-to-edge screen with FHD+ display.

As for the performance, the phone is powered by Kirin 980 SoC coupled with 6GB or 8GB of RAM—and storage options of up to 256 GB.

Honor View 20 comes with a 48-megapixel rear camera that uses a Sony IMX586 sensor, while the secondary camera is a ToF sensor which helps in 3D mapping.  The front camera is 25MP. The View20 sports a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Vivo V15 Pro

The Vivo 15 Pro also comes with a triple camera module at the back with AI capabilities. The highlights of the device include an Ultra FullView Display with 19.5:9, a fifth-generation in-display fingerprint sensor and a Snapdragon 675 AIE SoC. The device will go on sale in India in the first week of March.

The Vivo 15 Pro is priced in India at ₹28,990 for the 6GB RAM/128GB storage model of the device. The color options the device comes in with are Topaz Blue and Ruby Red.

In terms of specifications, the Vivo 15 pro features a 6.39-inch inch full-HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) Ultra FullView Display, a Super AMOLED panel. The device runs on Funtouch OS 9 which is based on Android 9.0 Pie and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 AIE SoC, coupled with 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM.

At the camera front, the device comes in with a triple camera unit at the back compromising of a 48-megapixel primary Quad Pixel sensor (enabling 12-megapixel effective pixels) with an f/1.8 lens, along with an 8-megapixel secondary AI Super Wide-Angle sensor with an f/2.2 aperture, and a 5-megapixel tertiary depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. For selfies, the Vivo 15 Pro has a 32-megapixel pop-up camera that offers features such as portrait lighting effects and AI-based beautification, apart from face unlocking.
