In 2018 the Cannes Film Festival saw the release of the Indian film, Sir. Those who watched the film at the festival loved it and gave it good reviews. Now 2 years since premiering at the festival, the film is going to release in Indian Theatres.

Starring Tillotama Shome and Vivek Gomber in the lead, the film is going to come out on November 13. Set in Mumbai, the film is directed by Rohena Gera.

As the film’s release date nears approach, actress, Tillotama Shome shared the news of the film’s release on Twitter. She wrote :

“It is releasing. Sir the film welcomes you back to cinemas with all safety precautions. Releasing on 13th November 2020.”

It is a different kind of film as it explores the unusual relationship between a house help and the heir of a real-estate family. Tillotama plays the role of the house help, while Gomber portrays the role of the heir of the real-estate family.

Both of them share a bond that is more than professional but society’s constraints make it difficult for them to act, this forming the crux of the story.

This year the film would have released in March. However, like all the films in the world had to suffer delays due to COVID-19, Sir too became a part of the same problem. Since the film is now getting a release and with theatres back to operation albeit with a 50 percent capacity, the makers are excited to showcase the film to the Indian audiences.
